Made-in-india Vaccines Airlifted For Kuwait

India today airlifted its first consignments of Made-in-India vaccines for Kuwait. The initial batch contains 200,000 doses of Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine made by the Serum Institute in Pune.

Assistant Undersecretary for Drug and Food Control Affairs Dr. Abdullah Al-Bader said that the ministry authorized the vaccine for emergency use based on the joint technical committee's decision between the Pharmaceutical and Herbal Medicines Registration and Control Department, also the Public Health Department for the evaluation and registration of vaccines.
