Kuwaitization Sees Increase
The Kuwaitization rates in the oil sector witnessed a steady increase over the past years, up to 93 percent in Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) and its subsidiaries by the end of 2021, reports Al-Anba daily. The daily obtained a copy of the official data regarding the Kuwaitization of the oil sector; indicating that KPC gives importance to the national component of work in the oil sector, as it is the main pillar for the development of work and assuming responsibilities in the future. Similarly, the data showed that Kuwait Petroleum International Company had the highest Kuwaitization rate among the oil companies at 98.39 percent; followed by Kuwait Gulf Oil Company (KGOC) at 98 percent. As for Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) that has the largest number of national workers; its Kuwaitization rate reached 90.86 percent, excluding Ahmadi Hospital. Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC) has a Kuwaitization rate of 89.4 percent and Kuwait Petroleum Industries Company (KPIC) has 94 percent.
Meanwhile, the Municipal Council approved in its regular session on Monday, headed by Osama Al-Otaibi, the construction of a new airport in the northern region. The Council also approved the draft ministerial decision regarding the regulation of public markets, which included 36 articles, in addition to its approval of the request of the Ministry of Social Affairs to add a storage activity within the site designated for the Kuwait Red Crescent Society in the Amghara Industrial Area.
