Kuwaiti Sponsor Tortures, Sexually Assaults Indian Domestic Help
The Criminal Investigations Department has summoned the Kuwaiti sponsor for allegedly torturing and sexually assaulting his Indian house help while at the same time investigating the complaint which has been filed by the Indian Embassy.
According to a security source the Indian, who is believed to be 24 years old managed to escape from the house of his sponsor, went to a hospital and called the Indian Embassy for help and protection.
Officials from the Indian Embassy visited the Indian at the hospital, accompanied him to concerned security authorities and filed a complaint and submitted a medical report showing cigarette butt burns on the body of the Indian. The Indian also said the sponsor sexually assaulted him after he may have been given something to knock him off.
Asian killed in fall: An Asian expatriate died on the spot when he fell from a building under construction and broke his spine and fractured his skull, says Al-Seyassah. According to security sources, when the Operations Room of Ministry of Interior received information about the incident, securitymen and paramedics rushed to the location and discovered that the victim had succumbed to serious injuries. His corpse was referred to the Forensics Department. Investigations were launched by officers from General Department for Criminal Evidences for determining the circumstances that led to his fall.
