Kuwaiti Runs Over Friend After Disagreement

An unspecified dispute between two Kuwaiti youths caused the young man to run over his friend, local media reported.

Following his arrest, the self-confessed killer allegedly told the Al Rai newspaper that after a quarrel with his friend, who was also Kuwaiti, he deliberately hit his car, then fled.

Kuwait's southern governorate of Al Wafra is where the victim's body was found.

In a report in the Al Anba newspaper, the suspect described running over his friend several times and killing him.

The police investigation and forensic report oversaw by the medical examiner proved that the attack was carried out deliberately. A motive for the attack is not known.

Public prosecution was initiated against the man and his car. No information was provided regarding the suspect's or victim's age.

Kuwait has experienced violent incidents, some of which have resulted in murder, in recent months.
