Kuwaiti Held In Turkey Over Suspected Smuggling Of Artifacts

A Kuwaiti national has been detained in Turkey on suspicion of attempting to smuggle artifacts, according to Al Anba newspaper.

Turkish airport authorities caught Abdulla Al Shatti and seized nine coins believed to date back to the Ottoman era.

The Kuwaiti national, who was vacationing in Turkey, said that he had bought the coins as commemorative mementos for a total of $30.
