Kuwaiti Doctors Must Meet Certain Conditions To Work In The Private Medical Sector, As Determined By The Ministry
Kuwait's Minister of Health, Dr. Ahmed Al-Awadi, has issued a list of requirements that allow medical specialists working in the government medical sector to operate private clinics outside of official hours.
It is prohibited for Kuwaiti doctors to combine their government jobs with work outside official working hours, according to the Kuwaiti Ministry of Health. The doctor must have the title of specialist or above, and not be in a supervisory position or head of any department.
The decision allows the authorized physician to work outside of the official working hours on days and times that do not conflict with his government dutiesIn addition, he can work in hospitals, medical centers, private clinics, laboratories, or any other private medical facility.
Furthermore, the Kuwaiti doctor will be able to combine his private clinic with a second private health facility outside of official working hours, or work in more than one private health facility outside of official working hours.
