Kuwaiti And Expats Nabbed In Restricted Fishing Zone
The Ministry of Interior has taken decisive measures against three individuals engaged in illegal fishing activities within the prohibited Al-Haishan area. In response to a report received by the operations room regarding a fishing boat with three persons conducting illicit fishing in the Al-Hayshan marine area, the Coast Guard promptly intervened. Upon reaching the reported location, it was discovered that a Kuwaiti citizen and two expatriates were on board the fishing vessel.
During the inspection, authorities uncovered nets and a collection of fish caught during the banned fishing season. Consequently, the Kuwaiti citizen has been referred to the Environment Public Authority for violating regulations, initiating an investigative process. In the case of the two expatriates, they have been transferred to the Deportation Center, and the deportation process has been initiated due to their breach of the law. This swift and resolute action underscores the commitment to enforcing regulations and preserving the integrity of prohibited fishing zones.
