The Kuwaiti embassy in Britain praised a new travel policy on Monday that will free citizens of Kuwait and other Gulf Arab nations from obtaining visas, claiming that the move will save time and effort.

According to the new regulations, Kuwaitis will just need to get an electronic travel permit ahead of time in order to visit Britain, a step that, in the words of the embassy, "encapsulates long-standing and lasting" bilateral connections.

The new program, which will go into action the next year, was described as the result of the Kuwaiti foreign ministry's tireless efforts to make it easier for residents to visit a place that has long been regarded as a popular destination.

The statement said, "Kuwait's embassy will continue to coordinate with pertinent UK organizations to complete the remaining aspects of the new travel arrangement."
