14 July 2022 Education

The Ministry of Education is planning to send two delegations to Palestine and Jordan to recruit teachers in a number of disciplines to fill the shortage of teachers for the coming academic year, according to Al-Anba. The ministry has received almost 1,500 applications from female and male teachers in Palestine, according to informed educational sources. As soon as the travel procedures are completed, the delegations will leave the country to meet the applicants and select the most qualified.

There are approximately 800 teachers required from Palestine and Jordan. It is hoped that the interview procedures will be concluded by the end of the month, if the teachers are hired prior to the start of the new school year. In addition to English, French, science, physics, geology, biology, chemistry, and mathematics, they required male teachers with experience in those subjects. Physicists and mathematics are the only specializations available to female teachers, with experience required.
