16 March 2022 Kuwait

In response to His Highness the Amir Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah's directive regarding Kuwait's 2035 vision, Kuwait's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Oil, Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy Dr. Mohammad Al-Fares affirmed Kuwait has all the necessary elements to achieve its dreams.

During the National Assembly's complementary session, Minister Al-Fares presented a visual presentation of this information. During his presentation, he explained Kuwait's development journey faces many obstacles, underscoring the necessity for comprehensive reformating measures and a strategic national plan for sustained growth.

Legislative and executive authorities should also be aware, responsible, and cooperative. Al-Fares investigated the challenges that have affected the national economy posed by the Coronavirus pandemic, slow economic recovery, and fluctuating oil prices.

The Minister of Oil pointed out that the government's work plan encompasses four main axes. The first one has to do with economic recovery, the second with reshaping the public sector, the third with the development of human capital, while the fourth has to do with infrastructure improvement and the use of renewable resources.

The four axes will each be supported by a range of executive initiatives with specific goals, objectives and indicators, which will be regularly monitored, Minister Al-Fares said. The Amir's unprecedented directives to open a national dialogue between the two authorities created more opportunities for collaboration and led to a more positive climate for more progress.
