Kuwait Imports $2.7 Billion Worth Of Medicine And Supplies To Contain The Pandemic

During the Corona crisis, Kuwait spent roughly 831 million dinars (equivalent to $2.7 billion) on pharmaceuticals and medical equipment. According to Kuwait's official data, the country spent 465.3 million dinars in 2020, and 365.7 million dinars in the first 9 months of 2021. A local Arabic newspaper reports that Kuwait imported medicine worth 111.4 million Kuwaiti dinars from the beginning of July until the end of September, reaching 133.67 million dinars in the first quarter of 2021 and 120.68 million dinars from April 1 until June 30.
