Gtd Has Amended The Timings When Trucks Plying Roads In Ramadan
The Public Relations and Media Security General Department in the Interior Ministry announced that the General Traffic Department has amended the timings when trucks are barred from using roads during the holy month of Ramadan.
In a press statement, the department revealed that trucks and other heavy vehicles are barred from using all roads during peak hours throughout the holy month — from 8:30 am to 10:30 am and from 12:30 pm to 3:00 pm.
Motorists are allowed to use the left shoulder of the road from 8:00 am until 12 midnight.
Meanwhile, the official working hours for Ramadan at the Immigration Department in all governorates are from 10:00 am to 2:30 pm, and in the evening in the Capital and Farwaniya governorates only from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm.
The official hours in the General Traffic Department during Ramadan are from 10:00 am to 2:30 pm, and in the evening, except the technical car inspection sectors, from 1:30 pm to 5:30 pm. The technical car inspection sectors will operate from 8:30 pm to 11:30 pm and the traffic engineering sector (traffic lights sector) in all governorates will operate from 7:30 am to 7:30 pm.
The official working hours during the blessed month in the General Directorate of Service Centers, the citizen service centers and e-passport centers will start at 10:00 am and end at 2:30 pm, and from 2:30 pm to 5:00 pm in all governorates, whereas the service center in the Liberation Tower will be open in the afternoon – from 2:30 pm to 5: pm.
The bureaus and vehicle agencies will work from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm, and from 9:00 pm to 11:30 pm. The service centers will operate Saturday afternoons – from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm, the passport issuing centers will operate from 10:00 am to 2:30 pm; while the only service center to operate in the afternoon will be in Shamiya – from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm.
