Kuwait Endorses ICJ Verdict To Halt Israeli Military Actions In Rafah

25 May 2024 Kuwait

The State of Kuwait has strongly endorsed the International Court of Justice’s (ICJ) recent ruling demanding an end to Israeli military aggression in the Palestinian city of Rafah. In a press release issued on Saturday, the Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs stressed the necessity of implementing all provisional measures outlined by the ICJ since South Africa filed its case against the Israeli occupying forces.

The Ministry reiterated its call for the international community to fulfill its obligations by compelling Israel to cease all forms of aggression against the Palestinian people. The ICJ, the United Nations’ highest court, mandated that the Israeli occupation forces "immediately" stop their military operations in Rafah and withdraw their troops to ensure the delivery of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip.
