Kuwait City's Beautification Plan Takes Shape
According to Al-Qabas daily, the Kuwait Municipality's purchase committee has accepted a tender for half a million dinars for advisory studies for the project to develop and beautify Kuwait City. In accordance with the laws and regulating circulars, the committee stipulated the availability of financial accreditation and the necessary approvals from regulatory authorities.
This project aims to beautify Kuwait City in accordance with the environmental, economic, cultural, and recreational aspects of Kuwaiti culture. As part of the budgeting process for the fiscal year 2022/2023, the municipality has included Kuwait City beautification in order to be able to implement the Cabinet's decision within the required timeframe. To cooperate, participate, and present their initiatives related to this project, a wide range of public and private institutions, ministries, and civil society organizations are being coordinated.
It is the municipality's vision to make Kuwait City a sustainable city, contributing positively to regional and local development plans, adhering to the highest standards of sustainable development and civic social responsibility, and improving Kuwait's civilized image. By providing a conducive environment for public and private sector development initiatives and civil society organizations, the municipality has undertaken to realize the State of Kuwait's vision for a sustainable city in terms of its environmental, economic, and social sustainability.
An informed source revealed that the Supreme Planning Committee, at its last meeting regarding the tent market transfer, assigned Eng. Muhammad Sarkhouh should coordinate with the projects sector, and a meeting with Kuwait Fire Service Directorate (KFSD) is urgently required to discuss all obstacles and find appropriate solutions according to the current situation.
