Kuwait Amir Thanks Local And Global Figures For Condolences

Amir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah expressed his gratitude and appreciation on Tuesday to top Kuwaiti officials for their condolences and sincere condolences on the passing of late Amir Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. His Highness the Amir thanked National Assembly Speaker Ahmad Al-Sadoun, National Guard Chief His Highness Sheikh Salem Al-Ali Al-Sabah as well as His Highness Sheikh Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, His Highness Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah, His Highness Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Sabah and His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah.

Also thanked were Ministers, Members of Parliament, citizens and nationals, as well as editors-in-chief of local newspapers, media channels, civil society institutions, and charitable organizations. His Highness the Amir Sheikh Mishal stated that this reflects the depth of connections between the Kuwaiti people, and highlights their devotion, wishing them all good health and wellbeing. His Highness the Amir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah also expressed on Tuesday his sincere thanks and appreciation to leaders of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries (GCC), heads of the brotherly Arab countries and the leaders of friendly countries of the world, and the Secretary General of the United Nations and Secretary-General League of Arab States. His Highness also extended thanks to the Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), the Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, the President of the Arab Parliament, the Secretary General of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), the Director of the World Health Organization (WHO), the Director of the United Nations World Food Program (FAO), and the Executive Director of the United Nations For Children (UNICEF).

A number of other people he thanked included the Commissioner General of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine (UNRWA), the Director of the United Nations Development Organization, the heads of all United Nations organizations and agencies, the heads of all League of Arab States organizations, the heads of diplomatic missions accredited to the country, as well as the heads of philanthropic societies and institutions.

His Highness the Amir also extended his thanks to the heads of non-governmental organizations for their sincere condolences on the demise of the late Amir His Highness Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah whether by attending and offering condolences or via condolence messages, phone calls, or statements. His Highness, expressed appreciation to these initiatives that embody the bonds of historical and close relations that bind the State of Kuwait and all Arab and friendly countries, and to all international and regional organizations and agencies, as he wished everyone good health and wellness.

Earlier, His Highness the Amir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al- Sabah along with the Al-Sabah family continued to receive, Tuesday evening, at Bayan Palace, citizens offering their condolences on the demise of the late Amir Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. Earlier, His Highness the Amir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah received at Bayan Palace, Justice Dr. Adel Majed Bouresli, the head of the Supreme Judicial Council and the Court of Cassation and members of the council. His Highness the Amir Sheikh Mishal also hosted senior officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, heads of the diplomatic missions in the State of Kuwait, ranking chiefs of the Army, the National Guard, the Fire Directorate General and citizens. They offered condolences over the death of the late Amir Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
