The Assistant Director-General of the General Directorate of Traffic for Education Affairs, Brigadier Sheikh Fawaz Al-Khaled, said that juveniles driving vehicles without obtaining a driving license is a crime punishable by law, and this type of grave violations cannot be tolerated, as the family is a major partner in committing the event. for such violations.

Al-Khaled added in a statement to “Al-Jarida”, on the sidelines of the traffic security campaign, which was implemented by the Education, Planning and Research Departments, under field supervision of the Assistant Director-General of the General Department of Traffic for Planning and Research Affairs, Brigadier Khaled Mahmoud, that the supporting security services in the Ministry of Interior in general, and the General Administration Traffic in particular continues its strenuous efforts to stop juveniles from driving a vehicle without obtaining a driver’s licence, which the competent authorities, whether in the traffic sector or the General Department of Criminal Investigation – Juvenile Police Department, monitored a noticeable increase in juveniles who drive vehicles and cause serious traffic accidents, Or they commit serious traffic violations as well.

On the reasons for the sudden field campaigns of the supporting traffic departments in the traffic sector, Al-Khaled said that the departments of education, planning, research and technical affairs are working in the field to support their colleagues in the Department of Licensing and Traffic, which bears a heavy traffic security burden, so the traffic leaders decided that there should be a supporting field role For the administrative or semi-administrative sectors to help control the traffic situation in the various governorates.

On the ground, the officer of the Public Relations and Traffic Awareness Department at the General Traffic Department, Major Abdullah Buhassan, said that the Departments of Education, Planning and Research carried out an extensive traffic campaign in the Al-Qurain Markets area yesterday evening, which resulted in the issuance of 312 various traffic violations, as well as the arrest of 22 juveniles who drive without vehicles. Obtaining a driving license, and they were referred to the General Department of Criminal Investigation – Juvenile Police Department, in preparation for their referral to the Juvenile Prosecution.

Buhassan added that the traffic police referred 12 vehicles to the Hajar garage of the General Traffic Department, after it was proven that they violated the security and durability requirements, pointing out that they referred 3 motorcycles to the detention garage, for violating security and safety conditions.
