He stated that «the number of aircraft that were used in the evacuation during the 3 days designated for the first stage of evacuation, was divided between 8 aircraft on the first day, 7 aircraft on the second day, and 6 aircraft on the last day, as the total number of flights undertaken by 32 flights, The company’s latest Airbus A320 neo aircraft also participated in the operation. The average daily operating hours of the aircraft for each plane during the first phase was eight hours.
He stressed that «the company managed to complete its mission successfully through 32 trips to 8 Asian and African destinations, namely Riyadh, Dammam, Dubai, Doha, Manama, Cairo, Alexandria and Amman». He pointed out that the “island” has harnessed all its capabilities to participate in the remaining stages of the evacuation process, so that every Kuwaiti and Kuwaiti return to the arms of the homeland, from all the destinations reached by the island’s fleet.
For his part, the CEO of the Jazeera Airways passenger terminal, Manea Al Mana, congratulated the people of Kuwait on the return of their sons and fellow citizens in the first stage of the evacuation process, stressing at the same time that the company’s cadres are fully prepared to complete the evacuation of citizens from abroad within the second stage of the process, and until the arrival of the last citizen To the homeland.
Al-Manea pointed out that the island’s efforts during the current crisis are not limited to evacuations only, as it provided “Cargo” air freight services that mainly focused on transporting the required foodstuffs to the Kuwaiti market, stressing at the same time that “the company is continuing its efforts and that it harnesses It has all its potential in serving Kuwait and its children in response to the call of duty made by His Highness the Amir of the country, that all Kuwaitis abroad abroad share the joy of Eid Al-Fitr ».
On the second stage, Al-Mana said, “It is expected that the island will transport approximately 3,380 citizens through 26 trips starting from (today) Thursday. During the phase, it will evacuate citizens from 7 major destinations: Amman, Istanbul, Cairo, Alexandria, Baku, Tbilisi and Sarajevo.
In turn, the Deputy Director General of the General Administration of Civil Aviation, Saleh Al-Fadaghi, called, “Citizens who wish to receive their children and their families returning from abroad, have the obligation to attend one person according to the instructions of the Ministry of Health and Civil Aviation and the Ministry of Interior.” He appealed to all to fully comply with the instructions of the Ministry of Health, foremost of which are the directives of His Highness the Emir of the country to abide by the laws and instructions not to mix, shake hands, kisses and gatherings at the airport, immediately after the arrival of citizens from abroad, especially after what we unfortunately saw in pictures and clips on social media.
In turn, the head of civil aviation security for aviation security, Ahmed Konkoni, said that they are working to check and follow up all the goods, foodstuffs and medical supplies that reach the country.
He added in a statement to “Al-Rai” that they are completing the tasks assigned to them all as soon as possible until they reach the markets, pointing out that they are receiving about 14 aircraft per day. He assured the citizens and residents that all foodstuffs reach the country in large quantities and there is no need for panic or crowding, and that the food stock is increasing.
