Jaber Al-Ahmad Hospital Receives International Recognition In Plastic Surgery
The Ministry of Health has proudly announced a significant milestone, as Jaber Al-Ahmad Hospital achieves international recognition as a distinguished center in plastic surgery by the Surgical Review Corporation, a renowned organization focusing on patient safety and healthcare excellence.
This recognition serves as a testament to the hospital's dedication to upholding elevated standards of quality and patient care within the realm of plastic surgery, solidifying its position as a frontrunner in the region, according to reports from Al-Jarida daily.
In a parallel endeavor, the Healthy Cities Office, led by Dr. Fatima Al-Najjar, the Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health for Public Medical Services Affairs, orchestrated a workshop aimed at presenting the national strategy for healthy cities.
During the workshop, Dr. Al-Najjar emphasized the imperative nature of developing and implementing protocols to bolster the Healthy Cities Initiative. This encompasses broadening the registration and accreditation of Kuwaiti cities as healthy cities, building upon the accomplishments of the 19 registered healthy cities and 7 approved ones, alongside one accredited city, Sabah Al-Salem, designated as a healthy university city.
Dr. Amal Al-Yahya, heading the Healthy Cities Office, spotlighted the extensive collaborative endeavor involved in shaping and reviewing the national strategy for healthy cities. The workshop sought to introduce the strategy to 25 government sectors, fostering sectoral integration and partnerships to realize shared objectives and benefit all stakeholders.
Overall, these initiatives underscore Kuwait’s unwavering commitment to advancing healthcare standards and cultivating environments conducive to healthy living for its citizens.
