Iranian Expat And Official Face 7-year Jail For Fingerprint Fraud And 113k Dinar Fine

A government agency leader was sentenced to 7 years in prison and dismissed from his position for illegally appropriating salary totaling 37,000 dinars. In his absence, the leader assigned an Iranian representative to verify his attendance through fingerprinting.

In the case details, it was established that the leader consistently avoided attending work, instead providing the Iranian delegate with his job file number and password to validate his attendance.

A 7-year prison sentence has also been handed down to an Iranian expatriate involved in the scheme. The accused leader and Iranian delegate were both fined 113,000 dinars, double the amount of their illegal salaries.
