Interior Ministry To Crack Down On Illegal Food Trucks At Jaber Bridge
Due to the upcoming New Year festivities requiring strict security measures, the Ministry of Interior decided to overlook the nuisance caused by food trucks around the Sabiya area at the end of the Jaber Bridge.
As reported by a local newspaper, the Ministry of Interior has developed a proactive plan to prevent the presence of these vehicles at the end of the Jaber Bridge, which coincides with the end-of-year holidays and youth gatherings, which are accompanied by large numbers of food trucks. To prevent them from crossing over, security points and traffic patrols have been set up.
As confirmed by Kuwait Municipality, on Thursday and Friday the Jahra Governorate Municipality branch seized the food trucks violating the law on the Sabiya road at the end of the Jaber Bridge without obtaining permission and a license from the municipality.
About 20 food trucks are licensed by the relevant departments in the municipality, and their locations are listed.
In addition to the danger of selling food products and materials of poor quality, the Interior Ministry warned of the disadvantages and risks of exploitation for illegitimate purposes, such as the promotion of narcotics and prohibited substances.
