01 July 2024 Crime News

At the crack of dawn, the Ministry of Interior initiated a sweeping inspection campaign across all six governorates, signaling the end of the grace period for residency law violators, which concluded on June 30, 2024. Spearheaded by First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense, and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahd Al-Yousef, this initiative aims to apprehend individuals who have failed to adhere to residency regulations.

Leading the campaign was Lieutenant General Sheikh Salem Al-Nawaf, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior, overseeing multiple security sectors and supporting agencies. The operation specifically targets individuals who neglected to regularize their residency status between March 14 and June 30, failing to comply with required fines and procedures.

Authorities stress the importance of this operation in enforcing residency laws and ensuring nationwide compliance.
