Indian Drives Kerala Registered Car For 1000s Km To Kuwait
In about four months, Hafiz drives an Indian vehicle across about 1,000 kilometers and 50 countries before reaching Kuwait
During his 1,000 kilometer road trip from Kerala to Africa, 19-year-old Hafiz covered four countries along the way in an indian-made Mahindra Thar.
On November 27th, Muhammad Hafis started his road trip from Muvattupuzha, Kerala, India, in a KL 17 W 2866 black Mahindra Thar SUV. The vehicle was shipped to Dubai by ship. It arrived in Dubai on December 1st. Having driven through UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and Kuwait, Hafiz reached Kuwait. Almost 50 countries will have been covered by the time he completes all GCC countries and reaches Africa. His next stops include Qatar, Iraq, Iran, and Egypt. Due to his right-hand drive automobile, he was unable to get an Oman visa.
It is not a problem to drive here since we drive right-hand vehicles in India," Fahis told media. It is my intention to showcase the capabilities of Indian made vehicles overseas. Usually, people do not choose Indian made vehicles for off-roading in foreign countries. However, I want to prove that Indian vehicles are equally capable for off-roading in foreign countries," Hafis said. This is the first time someone has done this, so the process is very complicated. It takes a lot of time because no one understands the procedures, Hafiz said.
This is my passion. My goal is to give people back their focus from subjects such as drugs, liquor, and religion. So they can devote their spare time to more productive activities. That is Hafis, who completed an electronic engineering degree, said he had thought of this trip because of this.
When Hafis is traveling, he usually sleeps in the vehicle itself. Made some adjustments to the back seat for a good sleep and rest place. In some countries, people get interested in my journey and arrange accommodations for me.
"Never faced any issue with the vehicle, and it is fully trustable," Hafis said.
