In Eight Months, The Ministry Of Electricity And Water Has Collected 324.3 Million Dinars In Revenue
In a recent update from the Ministry of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy, sources within the ministry disclosed impressive revenue figures for the period spanning from April to December 2023. The total revenue amassed during this timeframe soared to an impressive 324.34 million dinars, marking a significant financial achievement.
Breaking down the numbers further, December alone contributed a noteworthy 28.73 million dinars to the ministry's coffers, showcasing a consistent revenue stream throughout the year.
Sources attribute these revenues primarily to the provision of essential electricity and water services to customers. Revenue collection is facilitated through customer service offices situated across all governorates, as well as through the electronic services offered by the Customer Affairs Sector. These digital platforms streamline transactions for both citizens and residents, enhancing accessibility and efficiency.
The Customer Affairs Sector plays a pivotal role by offering a suite of 17 services, encompassing various aspects of billing and meter management. These services include electronic bill payments, requests for bill payments, debt installment payments, and meter-related tasks such as registration and cancellation, as well as deposit payments and refunds.
Emphasizing a commitment to digital transformation, the ministry is diligently working to digitize all its services, aligning with directives from the Council of Ministers. This focus on digitalization aims to enhance customer convenience, particularly for residents in new and remote areas, while ensuring prompt collection of revenues owed for electricity and water consumption.
The Customer Affairs Sector remains steadfast in its pursuit of maximizing revenue collection, with aspirations to secure the largest share of estimated revenues outlined in the current fiscal year budget over the next four months.
