Hunt On For Rowdy Fishermen For Violating Fishing Laws

31 March 2019 Crime News

The security authorities are looking for three fishermen for violating fishing laws, damaging the patrol boat belonging to the Public Authority for Agricultural Affairs and Fish Resources (PAAAFR) and threatening to stab the inspectors, reports Al-Rai daily.

According to a security source, a marine PAAAFR patrol was on an inspection tour with two inspectors aboard. They intercepted a fishing boat with men onboard and for fishing in a restricted area. When the inspectors approached the boat of the suspects, they prevented the inspectors from searching their boat, resisted arrest and one of them pulled out a knife and held it to the face of one of the inspectors. The men then damaged the patrol boat by deliberately colliding with it and escaped.
