His Highness The Amir Commends George H.W. Bush Foundation At Library Inauguration

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah has highlighted the pivotal role of the George Bush H.W. Presidential Foundation in promoting noble values and extended his congratulations on the inauguration of the new branch of the George Bush H.W. Presidential Library in Texas.

In a recorded statement presented during the library's inauguration ceremony, coinciding with the late US president’s 100th birthday anniversary, His Highness the Amir addressed the gathering. "On behalf of myself, the State of Kuwait, its Government, and people, we are pleased to extend our heartfelt congratulations to the United States of America, its people, and the esteemed Bush family on the anniversary of the late president George Bush Senior."

He reflected on the strong alliance formed during the crisis of the 1990 Iraqi aggression against Kuwait. "We thank you for the invitation to commemorate this anniversary, recalling with pride the great alliance during Kuwait’s time of need, spearheaded by President George Bush Senior. His leadership and the readiness of the United States to defend values of justice, freedom, international laws, and Kuwait’s legitimacy were paramount."

His Highness expressed Kuwait’s deep admiration for President Bush Senior’s leadership, the sacrifices of American soldiers, and the support from the American people. He noted these as significant chapters in the historic relationship between Kuwait and the United States.

He also praised the George Bush Foundation for its ongoing efforts to promote noble values and congratulated the Foundation on the inauguration of the new library branch, which serves as a knowledge center. "In conclusion, we express our deep gratitude for President George Bush’s legacy and the enduring solidarity and friendship between our nations. We hope for continued progress and excellence for all."
