High Temperature: Peak Electric Consumption Index In Country

As the temperature increases, the use of electricity sees its peak in Kuwait. Kuwait on Friday reported electric consumption index of about 14950 megawatts.

The Assistant Undersecretary for the Electricity Transmission Networks Sector and Monitoring and Control Centers at the Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy, Mutlaq Al-Otaibi, called on the Ministry's clients to rationalize the consumption of electric energy.

"The ministry has sufficient electric power, but this does not mean excessive consumption of electricity," he said.

He explained that one of the ways to reduce electrical energy consumption is to replace the old air conditioning units with the new ones, according to the (Inverter) system.
