Heroic Decision By Kuwaiti 14 Year-old

Kuwaiti tennis player, Mohammed Al-Awadi, who is just 14, has withdrawn from the International Championship for Professionals Under-14, held in Dubai refusing to face Israeli competitor in the semi-finals of the tournament

Al-Shahed said Al-Awadi decided to withdraw as soon as he learned that he was drawn to play an Israeli, after his victory in the quarter-finals of the tournament.

Al-Awadi’s decision has been praised by thousands of social media users for towing his country’s line of not normalizing ties with the Israelis in support of the Palestinian cause.

His move is seen as heroic and will be recorded by history.
