Gtd Determined To Instill Law And Order On Roads
The General Traffic Department continues to pursue juveniles who drive their relatives’ vehicles without a driver’s license and also arrested those who do not comply with the traffic law.
Al-Anba said the campaigns launched by the sector resulted in the issuance of 24,482 violations and the arrest of 53 juveniles for driving their relatives’ vehicles without a driver’s license and referred them to the Juvenile Prosecution.
During the campaign, 53 violators were arrested for committing serious violations, and they were referred to General Traffic Department.
The campaigns that started on Jan 22 and continued until January 28, resulted in the arrest of 9 wanted persons, 67 vehicles were impounded and towed to the ministry’s garage, 28 motorbikes, and 15 vehicles wanted by judicial authorities or wanted pending cases have also been seized.
On the other hand, the General Traffic Department announced as of Saturday vehicular traffic has been diverted from the Third Ring Road to Cairo Street, and then back to the Third Ring Road through a reverse detour, in order to facilitate the construction of a new tunnel.
