Gang Of 3 Syrians Specializing In Stealing From Houses Arrested
A gang of three jobless Syrian expatriates aged between 18 and 21 who specialized in robbing houses at Yarmouk area was nailed by Criminal Evidences Men led by its chief – Major General Khaled Al-Diyeen. The suspects have since admitted their involvement in several thefts that happened in the area, saying they stole jewelries worth KD 150 thousand plus cash. The confessed stealing jewelries valued at KD 80 thousand from the house of a senior State official.
Public Relations and Security Media Department of the Ministry of Interior said Rawda Detective Office received complaints about house robberies in Yarmouk area and a team of detectives was formed to investigate the issue, which managed to identity the first suspect.
He was arrested in his apartment at Jleeb Al Shuyoukh and the officers recovered a quantity of stolen jewelries and cash while searching the house. He admitted being the architect of all thefts perpetrated in Yarmouk area. He also confessed hiding the clothes he used in the theft operations after his photo appeared on social media. He led security operatives to the second suspect who was also found in possession of Jewelries, while the third suspect is said to have joined the gang in their latest operation.
