Fully Vaccinated Person Among The 10 Deaths Reported On Friday

Kuwait is witnessing a sudden increase in the number of Corona infections in the past week and surge in the cases admitted to the Intensive Care Unit.

One fully vaccinated person died due to Covid 19 complications on Friday among the 10 deaths reported.

As of Friday 271 cases were getting treatment in the ICU while the active positive cases reached 18,615 and 920 patients were receiving treatment in the general ward and the total deaths due to Covid stood at 1913.

The total number of cases registered in the country reached 348,262, and the total recoveries to-date were 327,734 cases, noting that the percentage of the total recovery cases out of the total infections amounted to 94.11 percent

Also total  number of swab tests conducted were 2,907, 511 indicating that the percentage of infections for the number of these swabs amounted to 11.99 percent.

With regard to the percentage of infections by governorate, the ministry indicated that 24 percent of them were in Hawalli Governorate, 13 percent in Jahra Governorate, 9 percent in the Capital Governorate, 21 percent in Farwaniya Governorate, and 33 percent in Ahmadi Governorate
