Free Entry To Jahra Nature Reserve On Weekends For Children And Their Families

The Environment Public Authority (EPA), in an attempt to introduce wild life, a variety of bird species, plants and the elements of natural life, to younger generation, has launched an initiative to free of cost entry for children and their families to the Jahra Reserve on weekends, reports Al-Qabas daily.

It was two weeks ago, that the reserve opened its doors for children to introduce them to environmental issues, particularly to increase their awareness through interactive workshops and drawing competitions inside the reserve with the participation of specialized employees affiliated to the EPA’s Public Relations Department and owners of projects concerned with the environment.

Director of Public Relations at the authority, Sheikha Al-Ibrahim, told Al-Qabas the invitation to parents to visit the reserve during weekends is free, and its aim is to involve them in environmental activities related to plant cultivation and to see the activities offered by the reserve, pointing out that entry to the observatories of the environmental reserve is by reservation system through the reservation system.
