Former Moh Employee Detained For Verbal And Physical Assault On Director And Other Employees
A former employee of the Ministry of Health (MoH) has been detained at the Shuwaikh Police Station following the attack on the Director of Investigations and Administration and other employees at the Ministry of Health. According to security sources, the 42-year-old former employee entered the Investigation Department at the Ministry of Health, and due to a dispute with the director of the department over the investigation order issued against him, attacked the director and his staff with a knife and as a result got injured in the hand.
However, the health sources confirmed the Director of the Legal Affairs and Investigations Department Dr. Ali Al-Khudair and employees of the department were not hurt in the attack. The ministry said the suspect was dismissed from work citing disrespect for work policies and when he tried to return to work again an argument happened between him and some employees, so he verbally assaulted them and then tried to assault them with a sharp object. The Operations Room of the Ministry of Interior was informed about the incident and he was taken to the Shuwaikh Police Station. The Ministry of Health said in a statement, legal measures have been taken against the former employee.
