Foolproof Security For Judges
According to the Al-Qabas daily, the Minister of Justice and Minister of State for Housing Affairs Faleh Al-Raqba confirmed that all forms of support and assistance will be provided to members of the judicial authority and their families in the wake of ongoing investigations and the collection of evidence to arrest those who set fire to the house of the Cassation Court's Judge Sultan Bouresli recently. Al-Raqba told the daily that his ministry spares no effort to protect judges and their families.
It is HH the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah's priority to ensure protection for Bouresli and his family after the arson, and to have the suspects arrested immediately. Sheikh Talal Al-Khaled, the first deputy prime minister and interior minister, contacted us immediately after the incident, saying he would intensify efforts to arrest the perpetrators, provide protection for Bouresli and his family, and assign security officers to his residence. In addition, Undersecretary Anwar Al-Barjas confirmed that he was eager to deploy the officers as soon as possible after the incident. Bouresli was fully protected during Sunday's Army Fund trial at the Justice Palace, according to him.
In his opinion, arson in the house of a judge is an isolated case, but must be dealt with properly to ensure justice is served. As a result, those who committed the crimes must be arrested and the harshest penalties imposed on them. The Minister of Interior emphasized that the law applies to everyone as Kuwait is a State of law, justice, and institutions. Additionally, the Ministry of Interior continues to make tremendous efforts to arrest two unknown persons who were seen setting fire to Bouresli's house. According to the daily, two unknown persons poured gasoline into Bouresli's vehicle and the fence of his house, set them ablaze, and then fled. The source said the results of preliminary investigations indicate some people planned this crime as the suspects were seen monitoring the area for days. According to him, the arsonists carried out the crime early in the morning to ensure the area was deserted. However, a passerby saw two masked individuals and prevented them from committing the crime.
