Fish Market Hit By Cold Wave

22 January 2022 Kuwait

A number of fish mongers say the fish market in Sharq has almost come to a standstill because of the cold wave that hit the country and the region dropping the temperature to almost zero degrees Celsius.

Al-Anba quoting the market sources said the fish prices have dropped significantly due to the severe cold wave due the abundant supply of local and imported fish which has reached a record level, noting that the market wears the look of a ghost town, which otherwise is bustling with buyers especially on Fridays.

Under these circumstances, for which there is no explanation, the fish mongers continue to grumble about material losses.
