Fear Over Increase In Seasonal Flu Cases
Health officials have assured the public that the epidemiological situation in the country is stable despite an increase in the number of visitors to hospitals and health centers in recent days due to seasonal flu infections. According to reports from Al-Qabas daily, the majority of patients are experiencing mild symptoms, and there is no cause for concern.
The current period is witnessing an increase in seasonal flu infections due to weather fluctuations, changing seasons, and the use of air conditioning devices in homes, workplaces, and vehicles. People who have come into contact with individuals infected with respiratory diseases are also at risk. Despite this, initial tests and smears have confirmed that the COVID-19 pandemic is receding within the country, and the majority of patients are able to improve their health with painkillers and simple medicines.
It is worth noting that individuals who have taken seasonal winter vaccinations are experiencing fewer flu symptoms. These vaccines are particularly important for children between the ages of six months and five years, people over the age of 65, pregnant women, health workers, and individuals suffering from chronic diseases. Health officials emphasized that COVID-19 is under control, and the rate of flu cases in the country is within normal limits.
It is crucial to maintain good hygiene practices, such as washing hands regularly and avoiding contact with individuals infected with respiratory diseases, to prevent the spread of flu and other infections. Furthermore, it is advisable to take seasonal flu vaccinations as a preventive measure, particularly for those who are at high risk. By taking these necessary precautions, we can ensure the safety and well-being of the public and prevent the spread of infections in our communities.
