Exports From Kuwait To Saudi Arabia Increased To 492 Million Riyals

According to the Saudi General Authority for Statistics, Kuwaiti exports to the Kingdom increased by 243 percent last August. They reached 491.9 million riyals, up from 143.5 million riyals in August 2021. In terms of the largest exporters in the GCC countries to the Kingdom, the data showed an increase of 348.3 million riyals.

Also, the data indicated that Saudi merchandise imports from Gulf countries increased by 13 percent in August 2022, amounting to 6.85 billion riyals, compared to 2021. In contrast, Saudi imports from Gulf countries decreased by 5 percent, resulting in 430.1 million riyals in July 2022.

A decrease of 3 percent compared to 2021 during the same period is the UAE's 57% share of Saudi imports with a value of 3.91 billion riyals. Oman ranked second in exports to the Kingdom in August with 1.29 billion riyals, a 132 percent increase from 55 million riyals in August 2021. On the other hand, Bahrain came in third place down by 21 percent with a volume of exports that amounted to 1.02 billion riyals last August, compared to the volume of exports that totaled about 1.3 billion riyals last August, whereas Qatar came fifth with exports of 145.9 million riyals in August 2021, up 153 percent from August 2021.
