Expats Who Are Not Vaccinated Can Now Enter Kuwait; Dgca Amends Internal Circular

18 February 2022 Kuwait

The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) amended its earlier circular on Friday, 18th February, allowing all passengers who are not vaccinated to enter Kuwait with a PCR test.

On Thursday, the DGCA circular mentioned that only Kuwaiti citizens are allowed to enter Kuwait without vaccination. In its latest circular issued on Friday, the DGCA says the earlier circular has been amended to allow all passengers to enter instead of just Kuwaiti citizens.

By submitting a negative PCR test issued 72 hours before the flight, all expats who have not been vaccinated with a Kuwait-approved vaccine will be allowed to enter Kuwait starting February 20th.

The latest news has caused a lot of confusion among Indian expatriates since a number of Indians who took the Covaxin vaccine were ecstatic to leave India for Kuwait after the council of ministers lifted several travel restrictions.
