Expats And Citizens Who Reached 18 Years Old Must Have E-fingerprint
The Criminal Evidence General Department in the Ministry of Interior has announced that the ‘no criminal record’ certificate will not be issued without the e-fingerprint for both Kuwaitis and non-Kuwaitis, reports Al-Rai daily quoting a security source.
The source affirmed that the database of the department is developed and updated automatically by taking the e-fingerprint, indicating the department linked the issuance of the ‘no criminal record’ certificate with the e-fingerprint of the holder.
He said everyone who reached 18 years old should have e- fingerprint, disclosing that anyone – whether Kuwaiti or non-Kuwaiti – can go to the department in Dajeej or in any service center with their civil ID to register their fingerprints electronically.
He confirmed this electronic base has greatly contributed in easing completion of transactions electronically; thereby, saving time and efforts of the people.
He added the electronic base also helped in identifying those who have been deported upon arrival in the country as their fingerprints are taken at the airport.
