Expatriates Appeal For 3 Months Duration For A Visit Visa
A majority of expatriates have expressed a desire for the Kuwaiti government to extend the family visit visa duration to 3 months, citing concerns that one month is insufficient.
They argue that accommodating their spouses involves expenses such as renting apartments and covering travel costs, making a one-month visa seem inadequate, reports Al-Anba daily.
Despite this, a security source assured expatriates that visitation policies would remain unaffected. Government efforts aim to stimulate commercial activities without overburding essential services like healthcare.
However, expatriates noted that the national airline does not serve all destinations where their families reside. They suggested a solution where entry visas to Kuwait are granted only to travelers holding tickets issued by the national carrier.
Meanwhile the daily said, the “Meta” platform allows 30 visitors to schedule appointments every hour in the residency affairs departments across Kuwait’s six governorates.
The report highlighted that residency affairs departments in Al-Jahra and Mubarak Al-Kabeer governorates had lower turnout compared to Farwaniya and Hawally, attributed to lower population densities in those areas.
