Expat Teachers To Receive End-of-service Benefits Of 78 Million Dinars

01 August 2022 Expats

Expat teachers of the Ministry of Education will receive 78 million dinars in end-of-service benefits during fiscal 2021-2022, according to the Civil Service Bureau.

According to a local Arabic daily, "the approved budget is an estimate based on the number of resignations expected, the lists of those eligible for compulsory retirement and annual replacement, and it may have to be increased if necessary."

Sources stated that the Civil Service Commission has not yet determined the number of suspended jobs in the Ministry of Education for the new fiscal year, but it is likely that they will include educational jobs since Kuwaiti teachers make up 72.5% of teaching staff, compared with 27.5% of expatriates (63955 citizens and 24,393 non-citizens).
