Driving Training Fees To Be Regulated In Kuwait
An insider confirmed that the Ministry of Commerce and Industry is preparing to issue a ministerial decision to regulate fees for driving training hours at Kuwaiti car education companies through the Department of Technical Apparatus for Supervising Goods and Determining Their Prices in the Commercial Control and Consumer Protection Sector. In this collaborative effort, the Ministry of Interior, specifically the General Administration of Driving Education in Hawalli Governorate, is involved.
There is a considerable disparity in prices set by various driving education companies providing services to the public, requiring this ministerial decision. Due to this challenge, the Ministry intends to regulate and standardize prices for car education hours. As part of the decision, private, public, and construction cars, as well as motorized bicycles, will be educated.
A crucial meeting was convened on Sunday, November 19, involving key figures such as Faisal Al-Ansari, Director of the Technical Staff Department responsible for goods and pricing, a representative from the Ministry of Trade and Industry, Brigadier General Hamoud Al-Roudhan, Director of the General Administration for Driving Education in Hawalli Governorate, and Colonel Muhammad Dulahi Al-Hajri, Head of Education Schools and Offices. Also present was Captain Saad Al-Rashidi, an officer in the Education Department. In preparation for the ministerial decision, a detailed report on the discussions will be submitted to Ministry of Commerce and Industry officials. In recent years, driving education prices have increased significantly and noticeably.
A forthcoming decision will not only regulate fees, but also bring order to the driving school car market, particularly for companies offering luxury or expensive vehicles.
