Disobedience Led To Job Loss

A Misdemeanor Court presided over by Judge Abdul Rahman Al-Huraiji ruled to dismiss the Secretary-General of the General Secretariat of Awqaf and fine him KD 3,000 for refusing to implement a million-dinar ruling in favor of a Kuwaiti citizen.

According to the citizen's complaint, this crime is covered by article 58 (bis) of the Kuwaiti Penal Code, as follows: Any competent public employee who intentionally fails to implement an enforceable judicial ruling 30 days after a warning is issued shall be imprisoned for a period of not exceeding two years.
