Diplomats, Medical Staff And Certain Categories Exempted From Hotel Quarantine

Kuwait’s Directorate General of Civil Aviation stated Friday that as of Sunday, February 21, arrivals coming from coronavirus high-risk countries, through direct flights, will have to quarantine in a local hotel for 14 days at their own cost.

Those arriving from other countries will have to quarantine in a local hotel for only seven days at their own expenses and isolate themselves for another seven days at their homes, the DGCA said in a press statement.

The DGCA, however, exempted Kuwaiti patients and students, unaccompanied under-18-years old travelers, diplomats, medical staff from hotel quarantine, provided that they quarantine at home for the whole 14 days period. The DGCA stated that all travelers have to register in its Kuwaitmosafer platform. Those who do not register will not be allowed to board the plane, it warned.
