A contract extension has been approved by the Directorate-General of Civil Aviation for the Sheikh Sa'ad Al-Abdullah Airport project, which is overseen by Royal Aviation Kuwait, a subsidiary of United Projects for Aviation Services Company (UPAC), according to Al-Seyassah daily.

UPAC stated that negotiations between the subsidiary company and the DGCA authorities led to the decision to extend the contract until May 14, 2024. In May, the western road leading to the Sheikh Sa'ad Al Abdullah Airport building was closed.

UPAC emphasized that the financial implications of this significant development involve the continuation of the subsidiary's operations in the project, which are reflected in the accumulated data. UPAC reported a profit of 3.53 million dinars in the first nine months of the previous year.
