Development Of School Canteens To Begin In February Depending On Health Situation

Nutritionist and Monitoring of Awareness and Community Nutrition Health Promotion Department in the Public Authority for Food and Nutrition, Nawal Al-Jazzaf, said a national project will be launched to develop school canteens in all public and private schools in Kuwait next February, specifically during the second semester.

Al-Jazzaf told Al-Jarida that this depends on the health situation, so that the project will be implemented at that time if the health situation is safe, noting that the implementation of the project will be postponed to September in the event the health situation does not allow the project to be implemented in February.

She said the Public Authority for Food and Nutrition and the ministries of Education and Health always cooperate in this regard and in coordination and cooperation with the Ministry of Education, has started receiving offers from concerned companies wishing to offer their food products.
