Deportation Of Delivery Drivers Who Violate Health Requirements By The Manpower Authority

21 September 2022 Kuwait

As reported by an Arab daily, the Public Authority for Manpower has formed a joint committee with the Food Authority and the Ministry of Interior to conduct daily field inspections in restaurants and commercial areas to ensure compliance with delivery service requirements.

The driver of the vehicle must possess a health license and a valid civil ID, and his residence must be registered with the same employer as his health license. In case a worker gets caught working elsewhere, he will be taken to the Residence Affairs Investigations to prepare him for deportation.

Both employers and workers will be fined if they fail to comply with health requirements. The traffic officials will inspect delivery vehicles and ensure their safety. Furthermore, the Food Authority ensures the health requirements of the worker, the cleanliness of the vehicle, and the availability of licenses.
