Death Of Expatriate In Salmiya May Be Related To Criminal Suspicion
The body of a 1987-born expatriate who lived under a building was sent to forensics for analysis. It remains unclear whether the expatriate fell from the seventh-floor of his apartment in Salmiya or if someone pushed him to his death.
It was reported by Al-Anba daily at 7 am, Tuesday, that a body was found beneath a building in Salmiya, Block 11, behind a gas station, showing signs of blood.
Immediately after the incident, security personnel and criminal investigation officers arrived. The building’s guard mentioned hearing a noise, and upon investigating, found the deceased expatriate near the building.
In response to a question as to whether he witnessed anyone entering the victim's apartment, the guard replied that he had not seen anyone enter it.
Security sources reported finding a white weapon (a knife) and broken glass inside the victim's residence.
An order was issued by the Deputy Public Prosecutor to register a suspicious criminal case. Police investigated and referred the body to Forensic Medicine to determine whether the victim was stabbed before falling.
The ongoing investigation required forensic officers to remove all evidence from the apartment.
