Cooperation Eyed In Crises Times
The National Guard signed on Monday a cooperation protocol with the General Administration of Customs, which provides for enhancing aspects of cooperation and exchanging experiences between the two sides and providing support and assistance in times of emergency and crises.
This came during the reception of the Undersecretary of the National Guard, Lt. Gen. Hashem Al-Refaei, Director- General of the General Administration of Customs, Counselor Jamal Al-Jalawi, and his accompanying delegation in his office at the General Presidency of the National Guard, according to a statement issued by the National Guard. Al-Rifai explained that the cooperation protocol with the Customs provides for cooperation, coordination, provision of comprehensive support, joint training and the exchange of experiences to qualify members of the National Guard to support the General Administration of Customs in emergency situations through the establishment of joint courses.
He stressed that the doors of the National Guard are open to cooperate with all state institutions and bodies, under the directives of the Supreme Command of the National Guard, in order to activate the National Guard’s guiding document 2025 (Protection and Support). He indicated that the document Protection and Support attaches great importance to cooperation and support to all state agencies by harnessing all the capabilities of the National Guard in providing support to government agencies, especially those of a strategic and technical nature such as the General Administration of Customs, which is the first line of defense in protecting the state’s borders and preventing the entry of dangerous materials inside the state. He conveyed the greetings of His Highness Sheikh Salem Al-Ali Al-Sabah, Chief of the National Guard and Deputy Chief of the National Guard, retired Lieutenant-General Sheikh Ahmad Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. For his part, Al-Jalawi affirmed the readiness for cooperation between the two sides to increase the efficiency of performance and achieve the desired goals after signing the cooperation protocol, expressing his thanks and appreciation to the National Guard for its clear efforts in various parts of the country, including the General Administration of Customs.
