Cause Of Mubarakiya Fire Revealed By Investigation

According to a statement yesterday, the General Fire Brigade explained the cause of the fire that occurred in Mubarakiya market and caused several shops in the arms market to be destroyed.

As explained by the fire department, the fire started inside one of the perfume stores in the gun market when workers were installing iron bases on the entrance to the shop using iron cutting equipment as they dismantled and removed them.

A firefighter explained to the fire department how hot iron blocks flew during the process of cutting the iron and fell on flammable material such as perfume and alcohol, which started a fire in the same shop and spread to the neighboring and opposition shops through the wood at the tops of the umbrellas outside the shop. Fire spread in those stores due to the large quantities of perfumes and alcohol stored there
