Canadian Arrested For Trafficking And Consuming Drugs

Officers from the Criminal Evidence Department in the Interior Ministry arrested a Canadian born in 1977 for trafficking and consuming drugs, in addition to planting marijuana in his house in Sabah Al-Salem.

In a press statement, the Public Relations and Security Media General Department in the ministry disclosed that its criminal security counterpart received information about the illegal activities of the suspect who was then put under surveillance.

After verifying the information, officers raided the house of the suspect where they found a room which contained devices for maintaining and checking temperature, as well as planting equipment, an undisclosed quantity of marijuana seeds, a weighing scale and some cash believed to be the suspect’s revenues from selling drugs.

During interrogation, the suspect admitted that he started planting marijuana in his house two years ago. A case was registered and the suspect was referred to the concerned department for legal action.
